The Brief
G Capital Berhad is a Malaysian public-listed company in renewable energy, with small hydropower and commercial solar projects across Perak and beyond.
Renewable energy is a hard subject to report on. A single announcement can span energy infrastructure, capital investment and government policy at once, and G Capital needed those updates to stay accurate to engineers and investors while remaining readable to a journalist and general public.

Public & Media Relations for G Capital Berhad
We drafted and edited G Capital’s press releases, sharpened the news angle in each one, and restructured technical and financial detail so it read in the order a journalist needs it. Approved releases were then distributed to relevant outlets — giving reporters a clear account of what happened, why it mattered, and where it sat within Malaysia’s wider renewable energy push.
Energy infrastructure is also far easier to understand standing next to it. We coordinated site visits bringing government representatives and journalists to the projects themselves, handling invitations, attendance and on-site coverage arrangements.
In April 2023, Deputy Finance Minister I Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan visited G Capital’s 6MW Sungai Slim hydropower plant in Perak. Rechner coordinated media attendance and supported publicity for the visit, which was covered by numerous local media outlets, including Bernama.
Our services:
- Press release drafting and editing
- News angle development and technical/financial information structuring
- Media list building and release distribution
- Site visit coordination with government stakeholders
- Media invitation, attendance and on-site coverage management

Outcome
The work gave G Capital’s developments a route into the public conversation rather than just the investor one. Press releases turned technical updates into usable news, and the coordinated visits gave journalists first-hand context on the projects, the stakeholders and the infrastructure — the kind of grounding that produces more informed coverage than a document ever will.
